Guess

... how many people today told me, "You're huge!"?

FOUR!

Four people that I worked with, or didn't work with, or who I was taking care of told me I was huge. Completely unsolicited.

Yeesh.

A few of them went on to add likewise comforting statements such as, "Wow - by the time three more months go by you're going to be so big!"

I think I like being pregnant - so far - but for pete's sake... I don't feel that massive!

Excuse me while I go digest the chocolate mousse I just ate. ;-D

Heh.

Dear Kendall

I remember people telling me too, "that I sure was big" ... but what they didn't realize was that I was carrying a 8lb 13 oz healthy baby boy!

No worries, you look great, and you're healthy :) Enjoy your pregnancy ... today I saw Elizabeth on "The View" show her tummy to the audience (she is now six months) just like YOU and seeing her made me think that you two could be carrying the same size baby! Enjoy this wonderful time in your life. Praise God!

Love you, Mom L

This is the only time in your life you shouldn't be offended when people tell you you're huge. I just smile and say, "Yep, she's growing all the time." Take it in stride. It's not as though the weight gain is pointless. You're growing a life inside!

Maybe it WAS 6... and I'm rounding low so I don't look like I'm complaining, anonymous... whoever you are. :)
Thanks for the encouragement, everyone - the doctor said I'm right on schedule with weight gain... so I feel okay with that. I think most people are just stunned at how much tummy is sticking out. To be honest, most people who make the "huge" comment usually follow up with, "But you look so good and healthy!" So no complaints. Not really. :)
