The Other Side of the Valley

The Lord has gotten us through a couple of really difficult few days... and I lift a grateful heart of praise. Thank you so much to those who have been praying for us and for those who continue to do so.
For a note of humor... see our goofy, gigantic dog go through his regular routine of getting on the bed. At night, he actually walks around the edge and places his chin everywhere until we say come up. If we don't say it, he stares at Kurt and does a subtle deep whine. Charming...

I stumbled upon your Blog thru another and read that you have lost your precious gift....your darling Daughter. We lost our 25 year-old son, Sept.30th, 2006. We know he has gone Home to his Lord....we remain behind mourning...until we meet again. I would not have made it even this far if not for God's deep comfort.
My prayers are for you, one Mother's heart to another.

Dear Kendall,
Thank you for your comment - your words that expressed a love and care. I attempted to read some of your posts - my heart aches - my shoulders tighten - and endless tears stream down my cheeks. You have put so many words to your journey of grief - thank you for being brave and vulnerable and for continuing to trust and believe in God - in His goodness.
Journeying home with you,
Rosanna

What an obedient dog! I'm used to dogs who aren't trained, so I'm very impressed.

Dear kendall,
I was told about your blog thru a mutual friend. We lost our precious daughter when she was only 7 weeks old... it was the hardest thing I have ever had to go thru, but I can't imagine how without the Lord. It has been so encouraging to read your blog, thank you for sharing your heart so much, I can't read without the tears and memories of my own coming back and feeling your pain so clearly. She would be 3 in April. Thank you for sharing...
Your sister in Our Father's Hands,
Amanda

Dear Amanda,
Thank you for writing me (I hope you can see this!)
It is so good to know that I'm not alone in this - so many have reached out to me (and us)... used by God, I know.
If you'd like to email me - please do so. I'd love to hear more from you and about your daughter.
... and find out who our mutual friend is. :)
Blessings back to you,
kendall
